It was a nice experience that we had in our presentation!! Even though I know I wasn't so good at the begining, but I was really nice when i performed the micro teaching (WARM-up activity.) So for me it was great since I know I could do it as well as people expected. However, I know i have to improve some details that i have.
This is for those who wait!!
So we sing a lullaby to the lonely hearts tonight...

ReAcTiOn PaPeR # two
Esmeralda Arely Flores MartÃnez
Reaction Paper # 2
When I read the chapter # 4 of the book Learning for Life, I found that teaching may be an art or a science or a combination of the two. In my opinion, teaching may be an art because teachers begin having experiences, and through the passage of time; they can understand better some characteristics of teaching that are indispensable to learn how to teach. One of these characteristics is knowing how to deal with students, so the teacher must know students’ behavior. Another characteristic is learning how to give instructions, so students don’t get confuse. And there are more characteristics, but I just want to emphasize these characteristics because I think they are part of the teaching practices. Talking about whether teaching is an art or not, what I can say is that first I need to know what art is, so, as far as I know, art is a way of expression which catches audience’s attention, thus this may inspire or motivate people in life. Regarding teaching, I can base on this meaning to say that teaching is an art, for it deals with people’s attention and their motivation or inspiration. In this case, I relate this teaching because students are the audience I’m talking about, and the one who tries to catch their attention is the teacher. On the other hand, teaching is a science when the teacher applies some methods or techniques to the teaching practice. In my particular case, both art and science are part of the teaching process. To talk about other things, I think teachers need to make changes always since everything changes in life like mankind, teaching needs to suffer changes too. As I’ve noticed, learning is often described as the acquisition of knowledge, skill and understanding, then this is part of the learning- teaching process everyday- life.
